ZX Security was incorporated in December 2013 and is based in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand with offices on Featherston Street close to Lambton Quay.
The team has extensive experience in testing the security of, and finding vulnerabilities in large corporate networks and systems. They also conduct a large amount of design review work, assisting their clients meet their compliance obligations.
ZX Security were recognised as the 40th fastest growing company in New Zealand at the Deloitte Fast 50 awards for 2018. We also placed in the Technology Fast 500 APAC rankings in 2017, 2018 and 2019. We are also a CREST certified member company
Technical Manager - Simon Howard is the founder of ZX Security has been active in the New Zealand information security space for 15 years. He is a member of the New Zealand Internet Task Force (NZITF), which is a non-profit with the mission of improving the cyber security posture of New Zealand. Simon also co-founded and assists with the running of Australasia’s largest hacker conference, Kiwicon. The conference brings together like-minded individuals to discuss the latest advancements in offensive and defensive Information Security tools and techniques.
General Manager - Ian White is a 2020 Hi-Tech awards finalist, a 2019 finalist at the CIO Awards for Emerging ICT Leader of The Year and a winner at the 2019 iSANZ awards for Emerging Security Leader. He is also an Agile certified project manager and in the advisory group for the Summer of Tech program. Ian is also a member of NetSafe, an organisation created to promote and educate safety online
Project Manager - Eva Knotkova is a project manager at ZX Security. She has a background in procurement and contract management and ensures the link between our clients and the team is seamless. Eva believes in inclusive and collaborative working styles to deliver the best outcomes. Originally from the Czech Republic, and a linguist by training, she is an ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) and is enthusiastic about bringing more diversity to the InfoSec world.
Consultants - ZX Security employs a number of industry recognised security professionals to assist with our practice. Our staff have penetration testing industry related certificates including OSCP, OSCE, OSWE, OSWP and SANS GMOB, GCIH. Any deliverable produced by a member of the team is reviewed and signed off by a lead consultant to ensure the companies high standards of quality are maintained.
